The Makers Market at Kentucky Movers and Makers is looking to sell handmade items by artists and crafters.  We accept artisans who make their products by hand and who represent a wide variety of media: fine art, crafts, t-shirts, etc. — diversity is the key to being a vibrant community of makers and to attracting customers. In an effort to ensure quality and diversity at the Market, all applications will be reviewed before approval.

If you are interested in becoming a consigner, please: complete our online application below. The Makers Market accepts new applications throughout the year. Upon review of application you will be contacted about placing items in store.

    Please submit the following items. You must submit all the requested materials in order to for your application to be processed. The photographs you send will help us judge the quality and originality of your product therefore, quality photographs are important.

    Please be aware that the City of Madisonville and Hopkins County each require business licenses in this community. Kentucky Movers and Makers does not obtain a business license on your behalf.

    We understand and agree that if accepted:
    1. Items intended to sell in the market must be handmade. 
    2. Kentucky Movers and Makers has the right to refuse items that don't meet accepted criteria.
    3. I/We understand that when consigning items for sale at the Maker's Market, Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation (KMM)  will receive 10% of each sale for KMM MEMBERS. In the case that the consigner is NOT a member at Kentucky Movers and Makers, the organization will receive 20% of each item sold. 
    4. Consigners are responsible for credit card and processing fees. Fees and commissions will be deducted from gross sales prior to sellers monthly payment. 
    5. Sales tax on items sold will be handled through Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation (KMM), however any other required licenses are to be obtained by the consigner. 
    6. No cash sales will be allowed in the Maker's Market. All sales must flow through our credit card system. 
    7. Checks will be mailed to consigners on a monthly basis, W-9 form required to
    ​ receive payment. An itemized statement will also be sent.
    8. At the end of each year, consigners will receive a 1099 tax form for income received over $600. 
    9. It is the responsibility of the consigner to price and enter items into online inventory prior to placing in store. Class and/or assistance available upon request.
